George waSHington
George Washington was born on February 22, 1732 December 14, 1799. He was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. He was the first child of Augustine Washington and his second wife, Mary Ball Washington, He was born in Westmoreland County, Virginia. During the American Revolutionary War he was serving as the commander-in-chief of the Continental Army. Washington was elected president in 1788 as the agreed choice of the 69 electors. He is still the only president to have one hundred percent of the voter’s votes. He also served two terms in office. He refused to run for a third term, establishing the customary policy of the maximum of two terms. Washington is known around the world as the "father of his country."
